Hub Owner

You become a Hub Owner when you create a new Realty Hub or receive ownership transfer from an existing owner. Here's what happens:

Hub Owner

Hub Owner is the primary authority role in a multi-tenant real estate platform that grants full administrative control over a Realty Hub, including inherent impersonation permissions and the ability to designate which roles can perform impersonation actions.

Key Components

  • Full Administrative Authority: Complete control over all hub settings, configurations, and user management
  • Inherent Impersonation Rights: Built-in ability to impersonate other users within the hub for support and troubleshooting
  • Impersonation Delegation: Authority to grant or restrict impersonation capabilities to other roles
  • Tenant Ownership: Legal and operational accountability for all activities within the Realty Hub
  • Permission Hierarchy Apex: Sits at the top of the role-based access control structure

How it Works

You become a Hub Owner when you create a new Realty Hub or receive ownership transfer from an existing owner. Here's what happens:

  1. Hub Creation: When you register a new Realty Hub in iRealtee, the system automatically assigns you the Hub Owner role.
  2. Permission Inheritance: All permissions flow downward from your role. You can create custom roles and assign specific permissions to team members.
  3. Impersonation Control: You can view and act as any user within your hub to assist with troubleshooting or training. You also decide which subordinate roles (if any) can impersonate others.
  4. Delegation: While you retain ultimate authority, you can delegate day-to-day management to administrators without transferring ownership.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Centralized accountability for compliance and data governance
  • Streamlined support through impersonation capabilities
  • Flexible permission delegation without losing control
  • Clear ownership structure for regulatory requirements under Philippine law

Cons:

  • Single point of failure if the Hub Owner becomes unavailable
  • Requires trust and responsibility due to broad access rights
  • May create bottlenecks if delegation is not properly configured

Real-World Application

In the Philippine real estate industry, the Hub Owner role addresses several operational needs:

  • Broker Compliance: Under RA 9646 (RESA Law), PRC-licensed brokers must maintain accountability for their team's transactions. The Hub Owner role ensures there is always a designated responsible party.
  • Support Operations: When agents encounter issues with sales management or commission management, the Hub Owner can impersonate them to diagnose problems without sharing credentials.
  • Multi-Branch Operations: Real estate brokerages operating across multiple locations can structure each branch as a separate hub with its own Hub Owner reporting to corporate leadership.
  • Developer Partnerships: When working with developer management features, the Hub Owner controls which team members can access sensitive project information and pricing.
