Relevance to Philippine Real Estate
Pag-IBIG plays a critical role in the Philippine real estate industry. When you purchase property from a real estate developer, Pag-IBIG housing loans often serve as the primary financing option for buyers who cannot afford bank financing.
Real estate contracts involving Pag-IBIG financing require specific disclosure terms, including:
- Loan amount and interest rates
- Amortization schedules and payment terms
- Equity requirements and reservation fee details
- Insurance and mortgage redemption provisions
PRC-licensed brokers and real estate service practitioners must understand Pag-IBIG loan requirements to properly advise clients on eligibility, documentary requirements, and application procedures.
