SMS Sender ID

SMS Sender ID is an alphanumeric identifier that displays as the sender name when a recipient receives a text message. It replaces the standard phone number with a recognizable brand name (up to 11 characters), allowing businesses to establish immediate brand recognition in their SMS communications.

Key Components

  • Alphanumeric characters: Combines letters (A-Z) and numbers (0-9), up to 11 characters
  • Brand name display: Shows your company name instead of a random phone number
  • One-way messaging: Recipients cannot reply directly to alphanumeric Sender IDs
  • Registration requirement: In the Philippines, Sender IDs must be registered with telecommunications providers through the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC)

How it Works

  1. Registration: You submit your desired Sender ID (e.g., "REALTYHUB") to your SMS gateway provider for approval
  2. Carrier approval: Telecom providers verify your business legitimacy and approve the Sender ID
  3. Configuration: Once approved, you configure your CRM or messaging platform to use the registered Sender ID
  4. Message delivery: When you send an SMS, recipients see your brand name instead of a phone number
  5. Recipient experience: Clients receive appointment reminders or notifications clearly labeled from your brokerage
